About Us

Empowering the Autistic Community through Economic Inclusion

🌍 Who We Are

The Autistic Foundation is a UK-registered charity (Charity No. 1179118) based in Somerset, dedicated to reducing inequality through economic empowerment. We focus on helping autistic individuals build fulfilling, independent lives through access to education, employment, and entrepreneurship.

We believe neurodiversity is a strength, not a barrier—and everyone deserves equal access to opportunity.

🎯 Our Mission

To economically empower autistic individuals by providing tailored training, inclusive employment pathways, and support for self-employment and small business growth.

🔍 What We Do

  • Job Skills & Readiness Programs
Custom training that builds confidence, communication, and employability.
  • Entrepreneurship Support
Mentoring and resources for autistic individuals to start their own businesses.
  • Employer Engagement
Partnering with companies to create inclusive workplaces and hire neurodiverse talent.
  • Financial Literacy
Teaching personal finance and money management for long-term independence.

💡 Why It Matters

Autistic individuals often face higher rates of unemployment and underemployment, not due to lack of ability—but due to lack of support and understanding. We aim to change that by bridging the gap between potential and opportunity.

🤝 Our Values

  • Inclusion – Everyone deserves to belong.
  • Empowerment – We build capacity, not dependency.
  • Respect – We honour every individual’s voice and experience.
  • Innovation – We tailor solutions to real-world challenges.
